A Roblox community’s Discord usually mirrors a group, and the ranks exist on the Roblox side already. These layouts arrive with a ladder in hierarchy order for exactly that, so the roles a sync bot needs are there before you invite it.
The other half is the game. Update announcements, a bug report channel, and somewhere to post clips keep a server busy between releases. These layouts keep the three apart, so a bug report isn't buried under screenshots.

Not on their own. The template creates the roles and their permissions. A bot like Bloxlink matches them to group ranks, and you invite and configure it after applying the template.
Is there anything here for a game rather than a group?
Yes, both are in the gallery. Game layouts spend their channels on updates, bugs, and clips. Group layouts spend them on ranks and staff. The description says which.
Are templates really free?
Yes, all of them, on the free plan. Templates are contributed by the community and there’s no paid tier for using them.
Will applying a template delete my server?
No, but it replaces the channels and roles with the ones in the template. Run /backup create first and you can undo it.
Do templates include messages or members?
No. A template only carries structure. Nothing personal from the original server is published with it.
How do I publish my own?
Create a template in your server’s own settings, under Server Template, then paste the link into the submit form here. You choose the name and description in Discord, and the category on the form.

A backup is private to your account and can include messages and member data. A template is public, structure only, and anyone can use it.
Is every template checked before it appears?
Yes. A listing has to name and describe the server it actually offers. Anything with no place in a public gallery is refused, so a template called "test" with an empty description never reaches the listing.

Publish your server's template from the dashboard. Other admins can apply it in one command, and you keep the stars.
