An aesthetic server is an ordinary server whose names have been written rather than typed. These arrive with the symbols, separators, and spacing already in the channel and category names. That's the half of the look a template can carry, and the half that takes longest to do by hand across forty channels.
The theme varies between them much more than the structure does. Pastel, celestial, monochrome white, cottagecore, and café layouts are all here. Underneath most of them is a plain community server with an entry category, a couple of talking channels, and a media channel. Pick the one whose names you want and treat the rest as a starting point.
What these layouts carry
- Decorated channel and category names, with the symbols and separators already placed
- Role colors and their hierarchy order, which is what decides the color a name shows in chat
- A short channel list, since a theme reads as one only while every channel is named to it
Why start from a template
A Discord server template is a complete layout someone has already built and published. It holds channels, categories, roles, and permissions. Applying one to a new or existing server takes a single command and saves an evening of setup.

Templates with thousands of uses have run in real communities rather than been sketched for a gallery. Read the permissions before you announce anything. A template carries whatever its author set.

No. A Discord template carries channels, roles, and permissions, so the icon, the banner, custom emojis, and stickers aren't part of one. The channel names and the role colors are, and those are most of what makes a layout look the way it does.
Will the decorated names break on mobile or for a screen reader?
They won't break. They're ordinary Unicode and render on every Discord client. What they cost is searching. A channel whose name is mostly symbols is hard to reach from the jump bar and tedious to hear read out, so leave the plain word in the name and put the decoration around it.
Are templates really free?
Yes, all of them, on the free plan. Templates are contributed by the community and there’s no paid tier for using them.
Will applying a template delete my server?
No, but it replaces the channels and roles with the ones in the template. Run /backup create first and you can undo it.
Do templates include messages or members?
No. A template only carries structure. Nothing personal from the original server is published with it.
How do I publish my own?
Create a template in your server’s own settings, under Server Template, then paste the link into the submit form here. You choose the name and description in Discord, and the category on the form.

A backup is private to your account and can include messages and member data. A template is public, structure only, and anyone can use it.
Is every template checked before it appears?
Yes. A listing has to name and describe the server it actually offers. Anything with no place in a public gallery is refused, so a template called "test" with an empty description never reaches the listing.

Publish your server's template from the dashboard. Other admins can apply it in one command, and you keep the stars.
