Cloning
Discord server cloner: copy a server in two commands
Xenon copies a Discord server onto another one you administrate. Create a backup on the server you want to duplicate, load it on the target, and the channels, categories, roles, permission overwrites and settings arrive the same way round. Structure is free. Messages, bans and nicknames come with Premium.
How cloning works
Copying a whole server is a backup pointed at a second one. A backup is stored on your Discord account rather than on the server that produced it, so loading it elsewhere is what cloning means here. There is a /clone command, but it duplicates a single channel or role inside one server rather than the server itself.
- 01Run /backup create on the server you want to copy. Xenon walks it and stores a snapshot on your account.
- 02Add Xenon to the target server and make sure you can load there. Loading is owner-only until you change it with /settings permissions.
- 03Run /backup load with the id. The target ends up with the same channels, roles and permissions as the original.

What people clone servers for
Move to a new server
Discord will not transfer a server between communities and will not change its owner beyond a handover. Cloning onto a fresh server is the practical substitute.
Test a restructure first
Copy the server, rearrange the copy, and see what forty channels of new permissions actually do before anyone else has to live in them.
Keep the target roles
Loading replaces channels and roles by default. Pass !roles !delete-roles and only the channel layout crosses over, leaving assignments where they are.
Rebuild after a raid
The same load that copies a server also restores one. If channels were deleted or roles wiped, the last backup puts them back.
Hand a layout to somebody else
A backup cannot leave your account. Publishing the structure as a template is how a layout gets to someone who is not you.
What crosses over, and what does not
Worth reading before you plan around it. A clone reproduces a server, not the community inside it, and the distinction is where most of the surprises live.

The members themselves
NeverDiscord provides no way to move an account from one server to another. Anything claiming otherwise is asking your members to click an OAuth prompt. A clone needs a fresh invite.

There is, but it clones one thing rather than a server: /clone channel duplicates a channel and /clone role duplicates a role, both within the server you run them in. Copying a whole server is /backup create on the source and /backup load on the target. Backups are tied to your account rather than to the server that produced them, which is the whole reason loading one somewhere else works.
Can I clone a server I am not an administrator of?
No, and no bot can. Creating a backup requires administrator permission on the server being copied. If you want a layout you saw somewhere, look for it in the template gallery instead.
Browse templatesDo members come across?
No. Discord has no mechanism for moving an account between servers, so every member joins the clone through an invite like anyone else. Bans, nicknames and role assignments do carry over on Premium, because those are records about members, not the members.
Does cloning wipe the target server?
Loading replaces the channels and roles that are there. It does not kick anyone. If the target has anything worth keeping, run /backup create on it first so the step is reversible.
Can I copy the channels but keep the roles I already have?
Yes. /backup load ... options: !roles !delete-roles takes the channel layout and leaves your roles and everyone’s assignments alone. It is the option most people want on a server that already has members.
Can someone else load my backup on their server?
No. A backup can only be loaded by the account that created it. Publish the structure as a template if you want to share it.
