Refund Policy

Last updated

This policy covers what You buy through the Service. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for every purchase made through the Service, so Paddle is Your counterparty for the sale and Paddle’s buyer terms govern it. Refunds are issued by Paddle on Our instruction.

Definitions

  • Company (also “We”, “Us” or “Our”) refers to Merlin Fuchs, Alte Str. 5, 04229 Leipzig, Germany.
  • Subscription means a recurring plan or add-on purchased through the Service that grants access to paid features for a billing period.
  • Renewal means a payment that continues a Subscription You already hold into a further billing period, as opposed to the payment that started it.
  • Service refers to the Website and the Discord bots operated by the Company, including the earlier version of Xenon that is being retired.
  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service.

Refunds We Offer

This is what We offer of Our own accord, wherever You are. Each is at Our discretion, and We ask for an explanation We can follow before We issue one.

A first payment, on request made on the same day it was charged. A first payment is the payment that starts a Subscription; adding an add-on to a plan You already hold is a first payment for that add-on.

A monthly Renewal, on request made within three days of the charge.

A yearly Renewal, on request made within seven days of the charge.

A paid feature We removed. Where We withdraw a feature and You bought the plan or add-on specifically for it, We refund the period You are in.

Paddle emails You before each Renewal is charged, and canceling before the renewal date stops it. Removing an add-on or moving to a smaller plan takes effect at the end of the billing period You have already paid for and does not refund the remainder of it.

Your Statutory Right of Withdrawal

If You are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, You have 14 days to withdraw from the payment that starts a Subscription. A Subscription is a digital service, so that right survives You starting to use it, and ends once the billing period You paid for has been delivered in full. Withdraw before then and We keep an amount in proportion to the part of the period already delivered, based on the price You paid, and refund the rest.

It does not attach to a Renewal, which continues a Subscription You already hold rather than concluding a new one, and it is a right of consumers rather than of businesses. Consumers elsewhere have what their own law gives them and what Paddle’s buyer terms grant.

A statutory right takes precedence over the refunds We offer above, and nothing in this policy limits a statutory right You hold against Paddle or Us.

Paid features can also reach a workspace through a Patreon membership, a purchase made inside Discord, or an access grant We applied Ourselves. In the first two cases Your payment went to Patreon or to Discord, their terms govern it, and there is nothing here for Us to refund. In the third there was nothing to pay.

When We Do Not Refund

Beyond the statutory right set out above, We do not refund:

  • Where Your access to paid features was withdrawn because You breached Our Terms of Service.
  • Where there is evidence of fraud, of refund abuse, or of a pattern of purchases made in order to be refunded.
  • Where a chargeback or payment dispute has already been opened for the same payment. Withdraw it and contact Us instead.
  • Where the payment falls outside the windows set out above, other than at Our discretion.

How to Request a Refund

Email billing@xenon.bot. Name the email address the Subscription was bought with at checkout, which is the address Your receipt was sent to and the one Paddle holds the payment under. Tell Us which payment You mean and, where a reason is needed, what went wrong.

A withdrawal is reimbursed no later than 14 days from the day We received it, as the law requires. Refunds go to the means of payment You used for the purchase. Access to the paid features ends when the refund is issued.

Canceling a Subscription

You can cancel a Subscription at any time from the billing page of Your workspace, which opens Paddle for each Subscription, or through the link in the receipt email Paddle sent You. If neither works, write to billing@xenon.bot and We cancel it for You.

Canceling stops future Renewals; access to paid features remains until the end of the billing period You already paid for. Cancellation on its own does not trigger a refund.
