Message attachment limitations

Note

Backing up and restoring message attachments is only available to premium users.

Discord sets some limits on backing up and restoring message attachments. That’s because Xenon can’t store the files themselves. It only stores a link to each attachment.

Message attachments include any images, videos, or other files that are sent in a Discord message.

An attachment can only be restored if the backup is less than 24 hours old, the original message still exists, and the files in that message add up to less than 8MB.
